In 2012, Salzburg-born Sissi Vogler took some time off work and went travelling through Southeast Asia. Constant companions on her journey were the colourful fish food and cement sacks. Inspired by this, she finally had the brilliant idea: the sacks were simply too beautiful to be thrown away. So why not simply make bags and other accessories out of the durable material? No sooner said than done. Back in Austria, Sissi got to work and developed the first upcycling collections CEMENT and FISH, which were launched in 2013. In the meantime, there is also the FLAGS collection made from used flag material and a SHOE collection with stylish espadrilles made from cotton scraps.
