It’s about Yin Thanchansath, the 15-year-old son of Moa Non, one of our wonderful seamstresses in Cambodia.

Yin is a regular teenager with big dreams. Until recently, his daily routine meant walking 3 kilometers to school every morning and the same distance back in the afternoon — about 40 minutes each way under Cambodia’s intense sun. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with walking, but isn’t it wonderful when you actually have a choice? A life in which we can decide how to spend our time means freedom. And freedom creates space for change. |

Thanks to you, our community, and Sophan, our dedicated production manager in Cambodia, Yin now has exactly that choice: together, we gave him a bicycle. And it’s about so much more than just a means of transportation.For Yin, it means:Less time and energy spent on the long daily walk, more energy for school, friends, and hobbies, a small but powerful sense of independence in his everyday life. |
